October is Community Safety Month in Mandurah

Get ready to connect, learn and have fun this October as Community Safety Month returns to Mandurah with a packed calendar of free events, workshops and activities for all ages, helping residents build safer, stronger and more connected neighbourhoods.

Throughout the month, a range of free activities, workshops, information sessions and community events will take place across Mandurah, covering everything from personal and online safety to road, home and community safety.

There will be something for all ages, with activities for children and young people, families, older adults and the wider community.

Families and residents can enjoy safety-themed Storytime and Craft sessions, Battle Karts, the Museum's Safety Through Time display, Street Meet and Greets, RAC Tow Safe Workshops and free online webinars, while also connecting with local Police, Rangers, community organisations and support services.

Community Safety Expo

A highlight of Community Safety Month is the 2026 Mandurah Community Safety Expo, taking place on Saturday 24 October at Peel Thunder Football Club / Billy Dower Youth Centre.

This free, family-friendly event will showcase a range of safety-related organisations and provide practical information, activities and opportunities to connect with the people and services that support our community.

There will be plenty happening throughout the day, including Battle Karts, Kids' Arts and Crafts, Constable Care puppet shows, garden games, giveaways, a photobooth and food vans. Visitors can also meet local emergency services and get up close to a Fire Engine, Police Car and Police Boat.

Free coffee will also be available, so don't forget your keep cup!
